This Earth Day, join us in-person or virtually to hear from CEOAS Alumni Fellow Christine Ervin (’77, M.S. ’81), who is driving national progress in renewable energy and sustainable development through visionary leadership and public service.

In conversation with Dean Tuba Özkan-Haller, Christine will reflect on how today’s climate trends are faster, more interconnected, and higher-stakes – and what that means for actions that can make a difference. Drawing on decades of real-world experience, she will explore how clean energy and green buildings surprised even their champions by growing faster than expected, and some of the key challenges that remain. Christine will share stories of exciting new developments and what is moving the needle – and what isn’t. Grounded in results over rhetoric, she’ll highlight what’s giving her hope right now, and the practical actions that help individuals and communities move from intention to impact.
