Effectively educating first generation Latino students requires organizational leaders to examine curriculum, structure, policy and process changes throughout the institution. Dr. Hernandez will share the lessons learned and changes implemented at George Fox University in Portland to better welcome the students and why these important efforts matter. This work was modeled from the changes made at Goshen College, Goshen Indiana, with funding by the Lilly Endowment.
