The event is both a Lūʻau and Hōʻike. Lūʻau is a word to describe a feast whereas Hōʻike means to show or exhibit, which is what we portray on stage to share our culture. Our Lūʻau and Hō‘ike serve the OSU and the greater community by sharing Pacific Island cultures. This year’s Hō‘ike theme is “E Mālama Mau, E Pūlama Nei" (Keep the Traditions, Cherish with Pride). Additionally, we are including hula implements to enhance the audience's experience and learning.
