The OPA celebrates the contribution postdocs make to the OSU community by joining the nationwide National Postdoc Appreciation Week (NPAW) sponsored by the NPA. This celebration consists of an Annual Postdoc Research Symposium and a Vendor Show. Both events take place on the same date and location and they are organized by the OPA Board of Directors with the support of the OSU Office of Postdoctoral Programs (OPP) and the OSU Graduate School.

The Research Symposium consists of a poster exhibition, a workshop in career choices for postdocs, and a keynote speech. Prizes are given to the best three posters of the Research Symposium. Raffle prizes may also be won by any attendee. This event is open to the public and complimentary refreshments are provided.
