The purpose of Black Excellence is to celebrate and recognize the amazing work of the Oregon State Black community. This year’s theme; “We are the descendants of Royalty” is inspired by the Black ancestry acknowledgment, a statement that highlights our history and our truth. With this theme, we aspire to recognize the differing and dynamic culture and lineage of our Black community.
