DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Convocation Ceremony welcomes all new undergraduate an
 d transfer students. \n\nConvocation is one of two seminal ceremonies that
  bookend the academic year. Whereas Commencement celebrates graduates\, Co
 nvocation celebrates new Oregon State University students - in Corvallis a
 nd online. Each fall\, the university welcomes new students at the New Stu
 dent Convocation ceremony. Convocation\, which literally translates to "co
 me together\," is a ceremony in which we welcome OSU's new students to the
  university. Ecampus students may participate via the live stream.\n\nAll 
 university senior leaders\, faculty and staff are welcome and encouraged t
 o attend Convocation as guests. Join us for lunch at the MU Quad\, cheer o
 n OSU's incoming students from the sidewalk as they walk in the procession
 al from the MU Quad down 26th Street\, then find a seat in Reser Stadium f
 or the ceremony. Convocation will be streamed on live.oregonstate.edu. \n\
