About this Event
Due to the high percentage of elections fraud experienced in this 2019 elections cycle including the dramatic shifts in results it gave and feedback about the elections process, a new committee called The Elections Certifying Committee was formed to verify the validity of results. This was an anonymous student group whose sole job was to review all information from the elections to verify the processes and outcomes. This committee was dedicated to remaining unbiased in decision making as well as keeping confidentiality throughout the process. It met April 29th, reviewed the data and discussed steps moving forward. The decision was unanimous and the results are as follows: Vice President Elect Jade Warner and Director of Legislative Affairs Elect McKenna Wright will remain in their elected positions should they so choose.
Due to multiple contributing factors, the results for President were determined to be questionable and will require a re-vote between the two candidates: Taylor Graham and Brian Chavez. You will be sent an email on Monday May 6th with a secure link to reach more students and reduce the possibility of fraudulent votes. The link will include the platform of each candidate and we ask students only vote once. You will have until Friday May 10th at 10am. The results will be public by 5pm on the 10th via the same channels we utilized in the first cycle with a campus wide email and online posting. We hope to see your votes cast and appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this process. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to contact ASCC President Reilly King at ascc.president@osucascades.edu
