Join us Thursday, April 16 from 5-7 p.m. in MU 109 for our Between Leaving and Belonging: Stories of Refugee Resilience Community Dialogue. This interactive gathering will explore some of the many realities and stories behind forced displacement and the refugee experience. Participants will engage in guided reflection and conversation centered on refugee stories and the five stages of the refugee resettlement process. Through interactive activities, dialogue, and a panel discussion, we will examine the root causes of forced displacement, build awareness of the challenges refugees face, and explore what it can look like to rebuild and integrate into a new community. Together, we will also identify meaningful ways individuals and communities can advocate for and support refugee communities.

This is a 2-hour event with catering; we ask that participants stay for the full duration to respect the dialogic process. Participants must arrive no later than 5:20 p.m. Registration is highly encouraged! Register here or from the CEL homepage.

Presented by Corvallis for Refugees, Community Engagement & Leadership, and ASOSU.
