About this Event
Community Engagement & Leadership invites you to join Beyond Earth Day from April 20-26th, 2024!
Beyond Earth Day is a week-long celebration hosted by Oregon State University and the greater Corvallis community, offering engaging events focused on celebrating or learning about the well-being of our society, economy, and planet.
To celebrate the first Earth Day in 1970, communities came together across the country to collectively address the many environmental crises the country faced. Here at Oregon State University, students hosted an entire week of events and a public recycling collection event, efforts that led to a campus wide recycling collection program that served as a model and driver for recycling efforts at OSU, in Corvallis, for the state of Oregon, and even across the country.
This year, join us as we celebrate the 54th annual Earth Day with a variety of events and activities that focus on earth ecosystems, health and wellness, viable economies, and social equity, drawing attention to the interdependence of the health of and justice for humans, animals, environment, and economy.
