Join our Bystander Intervention Training, hosted by the Violence Prevention team from Student Health Services!

About this Event: In celebration of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), SHS Prevention & Wellness is hosting a Bystander Intervention Workshop. All Oregon State University students, staff, and faculty are invited to attend.

During the workshop you'll learn to:

  • Identify barriers, safety considerations, and motivations for intervening.
  • Recognize incidents of harm related to sexual violence.
  • Apply strategies for intervening and advocacy.
  • Learn how to refer and engage with resources.

Space is limited. Please register to reserve your spot.

For questions about the workshop, please contact Carly Castaneda (carly.castaneda@oregonstate.edu)

This workshop is part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), a month-long campaign to raise awareness about sexual violence and engage communities in conversation and prevention efforts. SAAM gives us the chance to focus the conversation on and spotlight the issues of sexual violence, sexual assault, and rape though we know these issues are important to talk about and highlight year around.
