¨Call Her Ganda" is a film produced by queer Filipinx documentarian, PJ Raval, who showcases the life and death of a trans Filipina woman, Jennifer Laude. In 2014, Laude was murdered by a white American soldier who received little punishment for her death; today, he is back on American soil. Her death sparked a movement (#JusticeforJenniferLaude) in the Philippines and overseas. Please note this film explores themes that include sexual and physical violence, transphobia, racism, imperialism, and colonialism, which may make it difficult for some folks to view.
The APCC´s Gathering Hall has a maximum capacity of 70 people, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
