DESCRIPTION:Psyched Out\, Human Development and Family Sciences (HDFS) Club
 \, and Dam Worth It (DWI) are putting on a card-making event! It will be f
 acilitated by the SEC Craft Center in Support of Trillium Family Services.
 \n\nWe will be making cards and figurines for children and teens at Trilli
 um Family Services\, an outpatient home for children undergoing some of th
 e most serious mental health recoveries in the state of Oregon. Mental hea
 lth treatment and recovery are rigorous processes for any individual\, let
  alone for children and teens who have experienced trauma and injustice du
 ring their formative years. \n\nThe goal of this event is to provide a sen
 se of community and connection between OSU and these children. The cards a
 nd figurines are symbols of support and acknowledgment. We do not know the
 se children\, but that is the point: to communicate to them that despite t
 he unfamiliarity\, empathy\, compassion\, and understanding are still poss
 ible.
