Climate of Mind: Clearing the Way for Positive Action

A Session with Abby Mushin Terris of Sangha Jewel Zen Center

Day/Time: Wednesday, October 28th 6:30-8pm PT via Zoom

Register Here by 5pm on October 28th

Free/All are welcome.

If you'd like to pass on the goodwill, we suggest making a donation of any size to Beavers Care -- a fund supporting students with great financial need in this trying time.

As we wander in the wilderness and social disruption continues to unfold due to the pandemic, fires, storms, and other natural disasters, as well as economic, racial and environmental injustice, and a very uncertain election season, we are challenged to find some ground from which to respond. Each of us, no matter how stirred up we may be, can recognize the fears and judgments that may block our ability to discern wise action.

During this talk Mushin will unfold a way to approach our own distress through a view and practice that roots us in the moment. It calms the heart and mind, thus supporting our ability to see with clarity, and maintain the bonds that allow us to find our way through all this with patience, creativity and great determination.

Accommodation requests can be made by emailing ContemplativeStudies@oregonstate.edu or calling 541-737-4785.
