The College of Business Thought Leadership Series aims to spotlight some of the innovative and thought-provoking research being spearheaded by faculty within the college. While focusing on industry-related, research-driven content, the goal of the Thought Leadership Series is to give the audience a high-impact experience – leaving them with an overall sense of curiosity and inspiration. Contributing to the college’s brand, this Thought Leadership Series is a curated opportunity to showcase the expertise of faculty within the college and amplify the benefits of business research.

Join us for the third Thought Leadership Series Live Event, “The Complex World of Networks: The Implications on Business” where we’ll be featuring Franziska (Franzi) Schmid, Assistant Professor of Marketing in the College of Business. Franzi’s research focuses on the impact that social networks have on social influence, sales performance, and social media marketing metrics - with the ultimate goal of studying networks to better understand the behaviors of the systems they represent.

During Franzi’s Thought Leadership Series Event, you’ll learn:

  • How to adopt a customer-centric approach, focusing on creating value for the customer, through applying an Outside-In Marketing strategy;
  • How information flows within a network, what type of information flows within a network, and who facilitates the flow of information within a network through a Social Network Analysis and;
