Members of the public are invited to come to Hatfield Marine Science Center on Saturday, Oct. 4 to get their broken household items fixed and learn repair skills. In addition, this free event will feature short workshops, demos, and displays from community partners who will share strategies for waste prevention. Calling all VOLUNTEERS - We need you!

• Expert fixers: Are you good at figuring out how to fix things and would you like to share your skills? The items that will be repaired at this event will depend on the fixers we can recruit. Can you repair: small electronic items * lamps * vacuum cleaners * clothing * fabric items * bags/backpacks * ceramics * bikes * jewelry * tools * toys * musical instruments * something else… ?  Let us know your skillset!
• Sharers: In addition to repair stations, this event will include short skills workshops, demos, and table displays from community partners who can provide strategies for waste prevention. Let us know what kind of expertise and opportunities you would like to share!
• General event help: We also need people to help with set up, staffing the welcome desk, clean-up and more.
