SPEAKER: Cari Maes, MA, PhD
Cari Maes holds an MA in Latin American and Iberian studies from UC Santa Barbara and a PhD in history from Emory University. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program at Oregon State. Her talk derives from her current book project entitled: Cradle to Nation: The Politics of Maternal and Infant Health and Nation-building in 20th-century Brazil.
