Join us for a Cover Crop Variety Trial Field Day on April 29 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the OSU Veg Farm. We will start by introducing the cover crop variety trial that the Organic Ag Program is developing. We will discuss why variety-specific information and breeding matters for cover crop adoption and success, and highlight the research findings.  

You'll have time to walk through the trial, access data collected on each variety, and share feedback on next year's trials. After a lovely lunch, we will provide a tutorial and hands-on practice for collecting cover crop biomass for nutrient estimations, and a cover crop termination demonstration.
