The Crooked Tail Camp was such a fun success last year that Spring Creek Project has decided to team up with The Arts Center to offer the week-long program again this summer.

Each morning of camp, students ages 10-14 will spend time exploring the Shotpouch land with a different environmental scientist who will focus on a specific aspect of the landscape, such as the watershed, forest, reptiles, and amphibians.

After lunch, the students will work with teaching artists to write their own songs about the topics they have explored in the morning sessions. Participants will learn basic songwriting concepts such as song structure, lyrical and rhyming structures, and melodic movement through interactive exercises. 

Camp runs from July 15 to 19. Students will meet in Corvallis and ride together to camp each day.
