LABOR, LOAD, AND LOCOMOTION:  Did humans evolve sex-based differences in subsistence strategies?  

Cara Wall-Scheffler is a professor of biology at Seattle Pacific University. As a biological anthropologist by training, her research focuses primarily on human evolution and sexual dimorphism, especially as they relate to both thermoregulation and long-distance locomotion. She approaches her work on human evolution from a feminist lens and has published numerous papers with her undergraduate research assistants. Wall-Scheffler focuses much of her time on mentoring undergraduates in research, as well as implementing evidence-based pedagogy into the classroom.
