Shin Shin Tang, PhD (she/hers) is a licensed psychologist and clinical director of the Oregon Mind Body Institute, a nonprofit aimed at increasing the well-being of school staff through mindfulness-based mental health skills. She also serves as an instructor for the OSU eCampus and has a private practice in Eugene where she provides clinical supervision, consultation, and training workshops in addition to psychotherapy focusing on complex trauma.
Dr. Tang received her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley in environmental science, a master’s in psychology from New Mexico Highlands University, and a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Oregon. She has conducted international research on the intersection of culture, gender, and trauma, and is the author of the book, Asian American Psychology and Psychotherapy: Intergenerational Trauma, Betrayal, and Liberation (2023).
