Please join our dry farming demonstration site at Oak Creek Center for Urban Horticulture, which is conveniently located on the west side of OSU campus. This year, our dry farming demonstration site features a variety trial of diverse crops that are traditionally dry farmed in northern Africa and the Middle East, including sorghum, sesame, millet, cowpea, melon and African rice. Furthermore, we will be demonstrating different tillage and interplanting practices in a dry farmed context, and there will be an opportunity to visit our nearby agrivoltaic site on west Campus Way, in which we are dry farming vegetables and forages between solar panels of a solar array. Other featured dry farmed crops will include winter squash, potatoes, tomatoes and melons - there will be plenty of tasty dry farmed tomatoes and melons to try as well!
