Empathetic Leadership: A Leadership Advantage will teach you to identify your own empathetic traits and give you a framework for Empathetic Leadership to empower you to take action, navigate obstacles and drive results in your workplace.

In this highly interactive, hands-on workshop, you will acquire the Empathetic Leader framework and toolkit to strengthen and enhance your skills in:

  • Receiving communication
  • Offering feedback
  • Navigating change
  • Managing performance

Following the in-person portion of the course, you’ll get a chance to deepen your learning through a monthly group coaching sessions. This hour-long coaching session will take place by phone once a month from July through October. During this call, you will have a chance to discuss application of the material, bring challenges forward and gain input on how to navigate obstacles as a leader.

Leadership consultant, speaker and author

Patricia is a consultant, speaker and author who advises clients on effective leadership. With an emphasis on Empathetic Leadership, she draws on her more than 20 years of experience in talent management at companies such as Starbucks to accelerate client capability through her company Bravo For You. She teaches undergraduate courses at University of Washington, Bothell and courses for professionals at Oregon State University. She recently published a chapter titled “Empathy as a Vehicle to Authentic Leadership and Followership in Latin America: A Practitioner Perspective” in the book “Authentic Leadership and Followership.”
