Event attendees will receive a ceramic bowl as a reminder of the ongoing problem of food insecurity, while supplies last. The event includes a meal of soup, bread, and dessert, along with music, activities for kids, and a silent auction. The money raised through this event will benefit two local non-profits, our very own Basic Needs Center and food pantry as well as Fresh & Local, First!, which funds SNAP match at farmers’ markets in Linn and Benton counties.

Tickets are purchased at the door on a sliding scale from $5 - $20.

Event sponsors include the Anthropology and Food in Culture and Social Justice programs, University Housing and Dining Services, Human Services Resource Center, and Center for Civic Engagement.
