DESCRIPTION:Event attendees will receive a ceramic bowl as a reminder of th
 e ongoing problem of food insecurity\, while supplies last. The event incl
 udes a meal of soup\, bread\, and dessert\, along with music\, activities 
 for kids\, and a silent auction. The money raised through this event will 
 benefit two local non-profits\, our very own Basic Needs Center and food p
 antry as well as Fresh & Local\, First!\, which funds SNAP match at farmer
 s’ markets in Linn and Benton counties.\n\nTickets are purchased at the 
 door on a sliding scale from $5 - $20.\n\nEvent sponsors include the Anthr
 opology and Food in Culture and Social Justice programs\, University Housi
 ng and Dining Services\, Human Services Resource Center\, and Center for C
 ivic Engagement.
