The Office of Student Life is excited to announce that our second annual Fermentation Education will be Friday, May 18 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at OSU-Cascades.
Fermentation Education is our annual event that invites students, faculty members, staff members and members of the community to our campus to learn about the science, culture, and history behind fermenting beer, cider, wine and other fermented products.
Our silent auction will begin at 5:00 p.m and will end at 8:30 p.m.
This year we will be having presentations from Sunriver Brewing, Faith Hope & Charity Vineyards, Bend Distillery, OSU-Cascades staff member Casey Bergh and owner of Compassion Kombucha, and our Chemistry Department. Presentations will begin at 5:30 and will end at 8:00 p.m.
Dinner will be provided by Country Catering and will begin along with the tasting session at 8:30 p.m.
Registration for this event is highly encouraged, as the first 150 registrants will receive a commemorative Silipint tasting glass.
