Comparing Migratory Patterns and Survival Between Wild and Wild Fish Surrogate Juvenile Spring Chinook Salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha)
The Wild Fish Surrogate Project rears juvenile spring Chinook salmon for researchers to use as substitutes for wild-origin fish in the Willamette Basin. In this study, we compared survival and movement of wild juveniles and juveniles reared by the Wild Fish Surrogate Project and released into the McKenzie River Basin. We used multi-state Cormack-Jolly-Seber models to estimate survival and movement of the two groups through time.
