The Food in Culture and Social Justice Program is hosting a lecture via Zoom titled, "Food & US: Megadiverse Territories Looking for Social Justice In South America," given by Dr. Monica Gioconda Izurieta Guevara of the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar in Ecuador.
Dr. Guevara holds a PhD in Collective Health, Environment and Society, and is a professor at Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar. She is a leading researcher in critical approaches to food economics, management, and policy. She has published extensively on the social determination of food practices and policies in Ecuador.
