Quiet meditation sessions are specifically for those who have already developed an understanding of and have experience in self-guided practice, meditation technique and methodology, and/or open awareness. Practitioners will meet in community, light a candle, stretch and prepare individually for 8-10 minutes, then sit/lay quietly in self-guided practice for 24 minutes. Sessions will close with a dedication or simple, non-sectarian prayer of goodwill. This is not a good space for walking meditation, verbalized mantra practice, audible pranayama or other techniques that conflict with a quiet, still, communal space.
