About this Event
In this FURst Aid, Dr. Jen Sargent will share expert advice about how to help the wildlife we share our community with. The initial care an injured wild animal receives by the finder can make a big difference in whether they survive to release from rehabilitation.
Arm yourself with practical guidance on recognizing if wildlife needs help, who to contact and how to keep the animal and yourself safe and comfortable until you can get them to a rehabilitation center. Dr. Sargent will dispel common myths and talk through some common scenarios.
Dr. Sargent is the attending veterinarian for Oregon State University, an assistant professor at OSU and a consulting veterinarian for Chintimini Wildlife Center in Corvallis, Oregon.
