 g their suitability to host life. Thus\, determining exoplanet habitabilit
 y requires applying methods from the field of igneous petrology. This talk
  explores recent work in the fields of igneous petrology and exoplanet sci
 ence\, including the determination of exoplanetary mantle compositions\, m
 ineralogy\, and melting behavior and the prevalence of exoplanetary magma 
 oceans.
