Topic: Talk your way in, and our way out: creating opportunities for yourself, and our field, in a time of uncertainty for marine science
Join us for a talk about the intersections of communication and professional relationships at the evolving interface of marine science and society. Speaker Vaughn Robison will explore how communication can help early-career marine scientists build meaningful, opportunity-rich professional networks within the field. He will also discuss how investing in communication at every career stage can help the marine science profession navigate a period of uncertainty marked by funding challenges and growing questions about its societal relevance.
COOKIE & COFFEE SOCIAL: 3-3:30 p.m., Food or drink is not allowed in the auditorium, so there will be a cookie and coffee social in the GVMSB atrium before the talk- just bring your own mug (no paper cups will be provided).
