High temperature corrosion of structural alloys in CO2

Richard Oleksak ('15 Ph.D., Chemical Engineering), a contracting Research Scientist working with the Structural Materials Team at the National Energy Technology Laboratory in Albany, Oregon, will present an overview of research at NETL aimed at understanding the high temperature oxidation (corrosion) behavior of candidate steels and nickel-based superalloys in the environments expected in future supercritical carbon dioxide power cycles.
