The talk will review some of the likely candidates for the next volcanic eruption in the Oregon Cascades, and by using analogues from Hawaii, Japan, Indonesia, the Caribbean and elsewhere provide some insight into what these eruptions might look like. The talk will also discuss some of the latest research into the behavior of volcanic systems and how processes in the deeper magmatic systems effect eruptions.
