Topic: Kelp forests in a changing ocean
Kelp forests are among the most ecologically and economically important ecosystems on the planet but are threatened by rapid changes to our oceans. Our ability to predict the future of kelp forests depends on integrating understanding of kelp biology across a range of spatial and temporal scales. This talk discusses the important roles that environmental drivers play in the evolution and ecology of kelps from deep geological time scales to short-term responses to global change.
