The OSU Graduate School is hosting two workshops for those interested in learning more about the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP). Participants are encouraged to register for one or both of the workshops (see details below).
Day 1 - Informational Workshop: NSF GRFP Panel
Date: Monday, September 23, 2019
Time: 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Location: Austin Hall 183
The Informational Workshop is open to anyone looking to learn more about the NSF GRFP. At this session, attendees will hear from and ask questions of OSU colleagues with NSF GRFP experience, including:
- The OSU Coordinating Official for the NSF GRFP
- A former reviewer of GRFP applications
- Past and current GRFP awardees
Day 2 - Writing Workshop: NSF GRFP Writing Workshop
Date: Tuesday, September 24, 2019
Time: 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Location: Heckart Lodge Classroom (110)
The Writing Workshop is intended for those who plan to submit proposals for the 2019-2020 NSF GRFP, including those students who are in various stages of writing their proposal. At this session, attendees will work with the Graduate Writing Center on topics such as:
- NSF GRFP review criteria, including intellectual merit and broader impacts
- Crafting Statements of Purpose/Research
- Proposal writing conventions
