 actical side of starting a food business\, finding your niche\, navigating
  food-specific regulations\, and avoiding common pitfalls.\n\nFacilitated 
 by David Ryusaki (he/him)\, Program Coordinator for the Global Community K
 itchen (GCK) in Student Experiences & Engagement (SEE) at OSU.\n\nMeet Dav
 id:\nDavid has over 14 years experience in many aspects of the food indust
 ry\, as General Manager of an off-site rental company\, prep/line cook & e
 xpediter for a small restaurant\, Busser/Food Runner/Server for fine dinin
 g restaurant\, and banquet style catering.\n\nDavid's work with the GCK in
 volves working with the Benton County Health inspector to operate one of t
 he larger commercial kitchens on campus. His focus is on supporting cultur
 al expression through food with student organizations\, but is always look
 ing for opportunities to expand the program.\n\nDavid holds a degree in Nu
 trition & Food Management from Oregon State University '04 and is a proud 
 Beaver! He grew up in Hawai'i and landed back at Oregon State in Fall 2014
 . In his spare time\, he enjoys aspiring to be a foodie\, swimming\, body 
 surfing\, growing vegetables in the spring/fall\, hiking and picking all t
 he wonderful berries Oregon has to offer every year!\n\nAll students are i
