OSU alum Rear Admiral Michael Sharp, US Navy (retired), formerly with Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems and a commanding officer of the nuclear submarine USS San Francisco will be sharing insights from his career.
Sharp is a native Oregonian and an Oregon State alum with a BS in chemical engineering. He earned an MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern California and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.
Commissioned as a Naval officer early in his career, Sharp rose to the rank of Rear Admiral. During his career, he served as the commanding officer of the nuclear submarine USS San Francisco, a position he called “the greatest job in the world.”
Following retirement from the Navy, Sharp served as director of maritime advanced technology with Raytheon Integrated Defense systems. He retired in 2015 as the director of international business development.
