#IBFallSeminars

The department of Integrative Biology presents a seminar with Phillip Skipwith, Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Kentucky, Squamates and adaptive diversification through deep time.

The Skipwith Lab focuses on the phylogenetics and macroevolutionary dynamics of vertebrates with an emphasis on squamates (lizards and snakes). They combine phylogenomics and can comparative phylogenetics to assess the patterns and underlying processes driving asymmetry in diversity in clades. I am particularly interested in how ecologically driven adaptive evolution manifests itself in ancient lineages, from genome to phenotype.
