Dr. Elizabeth Anderson, Assistant Professor, Florida International University, will present a seminar entitled, " Tropical Rivers as Social-Ecological Systems." 

Dr. Anderson is a freshwater conservation ecologist based at Florida International University in Miami, FL, where she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth & Environment. Her research explores the natural history of tropical freshwaters of Central America, the Andean Amazon, and East Africa, and the interactions between humans and river ecosystems.
