Dr. Eric Riddell, Postdoctoral Researcher, Beissinger Lab, UC Berkeley, will present a special seminar entitled, "Predicting Climate-Driven Extinction Risk Using the Fundamental Niche." 

Dr. Riddell integrates physiology and biophysics to answer fundamental questions in ecology and evolution. He blends experimental biology, field ecology, and simulation-based computer models to determine whether organisms have physiological, behavioral, or evolutionary potential to tolerate change in their environment. These approaches enhance our ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of ecological systems, from genes to geography.
