Join the OSU community for the International Women's Day Celebration.

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women everywhere. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality. Spurred on by universal female suffrage movement, IWD originated from labor movements in North America and Europe, and has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group, or organization specific.

The International Women’s Day Celebration is a reception co-hosted by President Murthy and Provost Haggerty which aims to recognize and celebrate women at OSU. The program will include remarks by the provost and guest speaker, Jane Lubchenco.

All are welcome!
