Oregon State University Theatre is back this fall on the Withycombe Hall Main Stage with the charming and delightful holiday classic It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play.  Performances run November 4-6 and 12 at 7:30 pm and November 7 and 14 at 2:00 pm. The November 12 performance will include sign-language interpretation.  Withycombe Hall is located at 2921 SW Campus Way Corvallis, OR  97331 on the Corvallis campus.

This clever adaptation of the popular Frank Capra film based on the story "The Greatest Gift" by Philip Van Doren Stern and adapted by Joe Landry tells the heartwarming story of George Bailey’s encounter with the Clarence, an angel attempting to finally get his wings, told as a classic 1940s live radio play. Featuring a heavy dose of comedy and innovative live foley effects, this story of love, friendship, and community is a treat for all ages. “Everyone at the University Theatre is excited to welcome audiences back to Withycombe Hall,” comments UT Artistic Director Elizabeth Helman, “this seemed like the perfect piece to set a hopeful tone and lift everyone’s mood.”

The play is directed by OSU Theatre instructor, Andrew Beck and features a cast of Oregon State students including Noah Fox (George/others), Riley Lucas (Announcer/others), Tegan Olmsted (Violet/others), Dimitri Rose (Foley/others), Hannah Schwartz (Foley/others), and Savannah Taggard (Mary/others). Recent OSU Theatre grads AJ Glessner (Clarence/others) and Kane Sweeney (Potter/others) join the cast.

To welcome our community back to live performance, our fall production will be free for all! To reserve your ticket visit https://oregonstatecla.universitytickets.com/
