The passion and focus of Jaime Mack’s engineering career has been the design and manufacture of composite structures. As an R&D leader in UAS systems, she has had the opportunity to influence and drive engineering teams to greater technological discoveries and manufacturing advancements. She now continues to contribute to the advancement of unmanned systems sector as Chief Executive Officer at Zepher, a rapidly growing aerospace manufacturing company she co-founded in 2002. Prior to joining Zepher, Mack was the Advanced Development Lead Engineer at Insitu, where she managed a team of six talented design engineers in the development of a program of record UAV platform. She also worked in the composites field for 10 years, working for Innovative Composite Engineering, Hexcel Composite Materials and North Sails 3DL.
Ms. Mack is now the Chief Executive Officer and majority owner of Zepher in Bingen, Washington. In this Launch-U Speaker Series session, Ms. Mack will be sharing her insights as a leader, entrepreneur, and woman in the tech industry, and how she has leveraged these roles to achieve the heights of professional success.
Ms. Mack received her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Oregon State University, and her MSCE in engineering and structural engineering and mechanics from the University of Washington. She also holds two US patents in systems and methods for recovering and controlling post-recovery motion of unmanned aircraft.
The Launch-U Speaker Series is co-presented by InnovationX in the College of Business and by the College of Engineering.
