Launch-U Speaker Series: Lanaya Irvin

“Currency of Authenticity: Identity and Professional Spaces”


With degrees in English Literature and Business, Lanaya spent 10 years on Wall Street and now serves as President of COQUAL, a global think tank and advisory group founded in 2004 to address bias and uncover barriers to advancement for underrepresented populations in the workplace. Lanaya has extensive diversity leadership experience in corporate and nonprofit organizations.

Since 2013, she has co-chaired the Human Rights Campaign’s BusinessAdvisory Council. She also sits on the board of directors for New York City’s Anti-Violence Project, a nonprofit that provides counseling and advocacy services to survivors of LGBTQ hate violence. Lanaya is a frequent speaker on topics of authenticity, race, gender, LGBTQ inclusion, and inclusive leadership in the workplace.
