http://recsports.oregonstate.edu/This course is designed to teach participants the skill and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The program includes aquatic-specific rescues, first aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. Participants must successfully complete a skills test the first day of class to continue in the training. The skill assessment includes, a 300 yard swim, retrieval of a 10-pound brick from 7-10 feet deep water, and two minutes of treading water. Additional information about the require skills is available from the Safety Program Coordinator. Participants must have a copy of their current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, first aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. This Course goes from 6/9 - 6/10. Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
