About this Event
2501 SW Jefferson Way, Corvallis, OR 97331
Join us to listen to a selection of songs that were central to the Civil Rights Movement by artists including Nina Simone, Odetta, and others. We’ll learn about MLK’s thoughts on the role of music in social justice movements; discuss his legacy of anti-racist, anti-capitalist activism with a few songs; and reflect on how music informs our own activism in the present.
