Dr. Rachelle McCabe is the artistic director of Corvallis-OSU Piano International. She enjoys an international career as a concert pianist and artist-teacher, and has performed as soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States and United Kingdom, as well as in China, Canada, Southeast Asia, and France. A dedicated teacher and former professor of music at Oregon State University, McCabe directs numerous educational programs and master classes with world-renowned pianists through Corvallis-OSU Piano International and also co-directs the annual OSU Chamber Music Workshop. Rachelle enjoys a duo-piano partnership with her sister Robin McCabe. In 2018 the duo performed recitals and taught at five leading music conservatories in Beijing. Believing in the power of collaborative arts to bring about change, Rachelle McCabe has created innovative programs with writer/philosopher Kathleen Dean Moore to address the global crisis of extinction. Their recent collaborative film “The Extinction Variations” has received international acclaim. McCabe and Moore have performed compelling live programs in cities across the USA, Canada, and UK, as well as virtual programs during the pandemic. Rachelle holds a doctorate from The University of Michigan, a master's degree from The Juilliard School, and a bachelor’s degree from The University of Washington.
