Music Technology and Production Camp (precollege, remote)
Friday, July 16, 2021 9am to 4pm
About this Event
An online summer camp experience for high school students who want to learn how to use technology to make music. Real-time virtual instruction from music production experts and synchronous, collaborative, peer-led activities will be balanced with independent self-paced instruction in songwriting, composition, sound design, post production, and critical listening. Students will work both independently and collaboratively to create and modify sound, make beats, mix and master music with audio software. The week will culminate in a showcase of student work.
Participants will need computer and internet access for the duration of the camp. In addition, students will need an email account with access to Google Drive (for file upload).
Directed by Dr. Jason Fick - Coordinator of music technology & assistant professor at Oregon State University
