Navigating the Grad School Experience: Factoring in Social and Cultural Capital

As graduate students, what shapes the graduate student experience? How do cultural and social identities develop one's social and cultural capital? How do these play an important role in relationships with peers, advisors, administration, and the overall academic community? This workshop is tailored for graduate students where we will discuss elements of the grad experience, including those that influence student success. We will identify different social/cultural capital “currencies” and the role these play in graduate school.
