The OSU Department of Integrative Biology invites you to visit the newly renovated Oregon State Arthropod Collection, the largest insect collection in the Pacific Northwest.

We will have spectacular insects and other arthropods on display showcasing the amazing biodiversity housed in the collection. Come see Vespa mandarinia, the northern giant hornet recently intercepted in Washington State, and Icaricia icarioides fenderi our own locally endangered Fenders blue butterfly. We will also be displaying examples of newly described species, including one discovered by an OSU student from our ‘Species Discovery’ class.

Guided tours of the space by museum staff will be available at 1:30pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm and 5:30pm and will highlight active research, curation, education, and public engagement taking place in the facility.
